Im Moment hat es zum Glück wenig infizierte Menschen in Nepal. Die wenigen Fälle sind im Süden zur Grenze Indiens zu beklagen. Darum sind diese Grenzen bereits zu. Ein Ausbruch in Nepal hätte fatale Folgen. Wegen der schlechten oder fehlenden Infrastruktur wäre eine richtige Behandlung gar nicht möglich. Darum hat der Staat bereits jetzt eine Ausgangssperre verordnet. Nach Nepal kann im Moment niemand reisen. Für den Tourismus und die kommende Klettersaison hat das miserable Folgen, doch um die Ausbreitung zu verhindern sind die Massnahmen gut. In Kathmandu sind viele Geschäfte geschlossen vor allem im Touristenviertel Thamel. Dieses Jahr wird es wohl keine "Schlange" am Mt. Everest geben es ist zu hoffen, dass wenigstens die Trekking Saison bald starten kann, wenn sich die Covid Situation ein bisschen ändert. Wichtig ist es die Verbreitung zu vermindern. Und ich denke, dass mit diesen strikten Massnahmen des Staates Nepal auf gutem Weg ist.

Fortunately, there are currently few infected people in Nepal. There are only a few cases in the south to the Indian border. That is why these borders are already closed. An outbreak in Nepal
would have fatal consequences. Due to the poor or missing infrastructure, proper treatment would not be possible. That is why the state has already ordered that everybody has to be at home.
Nobody can travel to Nepal at the moment. This has dire consequences for tourism and the coming climbing season, but the measures are good to prevent the spread. Many shops are closed in
Kathmandu, especially in the tourist area of Thamel. This year there will probably be no "queue" on Mt. Everest. It is to be hoped that at least the trekking season will start soon if the Covid
situation changes a bit. It is important to reduce the spread. And I think that these strict measures by the state of Nepal are on the right track.
