Langsam kommen einige Touristen nach Nepal, die die strengen Massnahmen befolgen. Momentane Situation in Nepal:
In Nepal gibt es Stand heute 34'905 aktive Fälle von Corona bei einer Einwohnerzahl von 29.7 Mio. Viele Fälle sind aus dem Flachland an der Grenze zu Indien gemeldet sowie im Kathmandu-Tal (vor allem durch Rückkehrende nepalesische Gastarbeiter).
Die Touristen müssen sich bereits vorher um ein Visum bemühen. Bei der Ankunft können keine Visums gelöst werden. Der Covid Test darf nicht älter als 72 Stunden sein. Dann muss jeder Tourist noch ein paar Tage in Hotelquarantäne bevor dann ein weiterer Covid Test gemacht wird. Sehr umständlich. Doch wer mit alldem keine Mühe hat, erwartet ein atemberaubendes Land dass momentan sicher nicht überfüllt ist. Man geniesst quasi alles für sich alleine. So wenige Touristen wird es wohl nicht so bald wieder haben. Und die Einheimischen freuen sich sehr über Touristen.
Wir werden uns bald um die Computer und die Englisch- und Schulbücher bemühen. Zur Zeit ist ein Festival in Chheskam und die Schüler haben Ferien. Dann werden wir unseren Lehrer Bibas in den Computerkurs nach Sotang schicken. Die neue Schuluniform bekommen die Schüler dann auch nach dem laufenden Festival.
Die Lebensmittelsituation in Nepal hat sich auch wieder beruhigt. Der Import ist wieder gewährleistet. Und obwohl die meiste Ernte durch den starken Monsun zerstört wurde, haben doch alle genügend zu Essen. Sobald diese Situation ändern würde, würden wir sofort eine Essensauslieferung starten.

Slowly some tourists come to Nepal who follow the strict measures. Current situation in Nepal:
As of today, there are 34,905 active cases of Corona in Nepal with a population of 29.7 million. Many cases have been reported from the lowlands on the border with India and in the Kathmandu
Valley (mainly due to returning Nepalese guest workers).
Tourists have to apply for a visa before. Visa cannot be issued on arrival. The Covid test must not be older than 72 hours. Then every tourist has to be in hotel quarantine for a few days before
another Covid test is done. Very inconvenient. But if you don't have any trouble with all this, you can expect a breathtaking country that is currently certainly not overcrowded. You can
basically enjoy everything for yourself. So few tourists will probably not be back anytime soon. And the locals are very happy to see tourists.
We'll get to the computers and the English and school books soon. There is currently a festival in Chheskam and the students are on vacation. Then we will send our teacher Bibas to the computer
course in Sotang. The schooluniform will then receive the new school uniform after the current festival.
The food situation in Nepal has also calmed down again. The import is guaranteed again. And although most of the harvest was destroyed by the strong monsoons, everyone has enough to eat. As soon
as this situation changed, we would start a food delivery immediately.
