Kurz nach dem Abschluss des neuen Sportplatzes, bekamen wir eine Anfrage für ein neues Projekt. :) Die Toilette der Schule ist sehr baufällig und alt. Und sie hat noch nicht einmal eine Möglichkeit, dass sich die Kinder nach dem Toilettengang die Hände waschen können. Also haben wir beschlossen, den Umbau zu finanzieren. Baldmöglichst werden wir beginnen.
Dann haben wir noch einer Frau in Bung, das ist ein Dorf in der nähe, Sauerstoff besorgen können zur Behandlung von Corona. Wir hoffen sehr, dass sie durchkommen wird.
Ich plane wirklich im November nach Nepal zu reisen. Die Bestimmungen sollten bis dahin etwas gelockert werden. Zur Zeit muss man in Nepal noch in eine 7-Tage-Hotelquarantäne. Was ich auch in Kauf nehmen würde. Ich könnte dann zum Beispiel einen Online Sprachkurs machen. :) In der Schweiz werden die Einreisebestimmungen auch etwas leichter. Somit könnte es tatsächlich klappen.
Mein Plan wäre folgendermassen: Reise nach Kathmandu, evt. eine Quarantäne, dann Reise nach Chheskam so weit wie möglich mit dem Jeep, da ich sehr viele Kleider mit nehmen möchte für die Einheimischen, dann werde ich zwei Wochen in Chheskam bleiben und mithelfen wo es nötig ist. Dann reise ich zurück nach Kathmandu. Eventuell gehe ich noch nach Lukla, kommt aber auf die Bestimmungen an. Ich werde einige Schnelltests dabei haben und mich regelmässig testen, dass ich ja nichts in das Dorf und Land bringe, was da nicht hingehört.
Hoffen wir, dass sich die Situation bis im November nicht verschlechtert.
Pasang ist zurzeit in Kathmandu. Er hat unsere Organisation bei den Behörden von Nepal angemeldet. So wird es für uns in Zukunft einfacher sein, wenn wir grössere Projekte wie zum Beispiel das Wasserprojekt starten möchten. Nun ist alles offiziell und wir sind registriert.

Shortly after the completion of the new sports field, we received a request for a new project. :) The toilet of the school is very dilapidated and old. And it doesn't even have a possibility for
the children to wash their hands after going to the toilet. So we decided to finance the reconstruction. We will start as soon as possible.
Then we were able to get oxygen for a woman in Bung, which is a village nearby, to treat Corona. We hope very much that she will pull through.
I really plan to go to Nepal in November. The regulations should be relaxed a little bit by then. Right now in Nepal you still have to go into a 7-day hotel quarantine. What I would also accept.
I could then, for example, do an online language course. :) In Switzerland, the entry requirements are also somewhat easier. So it could actually work out.
My plan would be as follows: Travel to Kathmandu, possibly a quarantine, then travel to Chheskam as far as possible by jeep, because I want to take a lot of clothes for the locals, then I will
stay two weeks in Chheskam and help where needed. Then I will travel back to Kathmandu. Possibly I will go to Lukla, but it depends on the regulations. I will have some quick tests with me and I
will test myself regularly to make sure that I don't bring anything into the village and the country that doesn't belong there.
Let's hope that the situation will not worsen until November.
Pasang is currently in Kathmandu. He has registered our organization with the Nepalese authorities. This will make it easier for us in the future when we want to start bigger projects like the
water project. Now everything is official and we are registered.
