lange Tage / long days

Deutsch

Ruhig, Jeannine ganz ruhig. Antwort von Pasang: not yet.

Zuviele Gedanken in meinem Kopf.

Patience is really not my thing. I have noticed that again these days. We are still waiting for the engineer's phone. As a Swiss, I'm used to things running quickly. but here, a different clock is ticking. Even at a meeting, accuracy is not always taken seriously. People like to wait an hour or more for the person. I have now been here in Kathmandu for eight days. My legroom is not really big. The biggest thing was when I changed hotels. Otherwise, I don't really do many kilometres a day. Room, garden, restaurant, garden, room. And always online, hoping to finally know when to go. I WANT TO GO TO CHHESKAM. Calm, Jeannine calm. No, it's really about time. I can't wait to see the village, the people, everything. I have a longing. Well, at the moment I always ask, any news? Answer from Pasang: not yet. :( Unfortunately, our wool shop is also closed at the moment because of the festival. Otherwise I could at least have looked forward to the new woollen blankets. But no too. No I'm fine, just have no patience at the moment. The blanket is slowly falling on my head.

Today was a miserable study day. I couldn't focus. I had to give up for today, I couldn't. Too many thoughts in my head. Too much Chheskam in my head too little Nepali in my head. I don't know, it just didn't work today. I hope I can sleep better and concentrate better tomorrow. I really want to learn the language, but I think I lack talent. I didn't imagine it would be this difficult. I hoped that I could learn it faster. Now I've been practising for eight days and I don't seem to be getting anywhere.

But now I don't want to bore you further with my fuss. I'll just sleep well and do better tomorrow. And firmly believe that the engineer will get back to me and that the wool shop will be open soon. The day after tomorrow is Tuesday and I'll be tested for Covid. I feel wonderful and not sick at all. I should consider myself lucky and I do now. Done with complaining and hanging in there.

Greetings from Nepal
