Ein Bericht des Teams von Laufen für Swiss Hope Sherpa:

Swiss Hope Sherpa

A report from the team at Laufen for Swiss Hope Sherpa:

Swiss Hope Sherpa

The organization of Jeannine Maillard from Bergün and Pasang Rinji Sherpa from Lukla is committed to education and a functioning infrastructure in the village of Chheskam in Nepal. This spring they were looking for support for a new sports field.

The idea of Barbara Schuler-Rozzi

With the idea to support the sports field project through the kilometers I run, I started on May 1st with the challenge to run 1'300km until the end of October. For every kilometer I run, I would donate 30 centimes to the Sportplatz. Donations. I reached this goal with 1'307,47 kilometers.

Thomas Marti takes over Barbara's idea and expands it.

Barbara's idea appealed to me immediately. As a runner, I set myself the goal to run 1'300 km in the same period and also to donate 30 centimes per kilometer. I posted this on social media as well, saying that both imitators and sponsors of my kilometers were very welcome. With pledges of over one franc per kilometer run, my motivation was so great that I far exceeded the goal with 1,805.1km.

Sponsors

With other fellow athletes and many lump sum donations, the overwhelming sum of 6'449,75 francs was collected in the end. Many thanks to all sponsors for their contribution.

The sports field and new WC facilities

We are overjoyed not only to be able to make a large contribution to the costs of the new sports field, but also to be able to finance the entire sports field and the new toilet facilities. There is even something left over for volleyballs and other sports equipment.

It was an intensive, but also very nice time that we spent outside in nature for our Challenge. Very often we thought about the village of Chheskam and its inhabitants. Often this led to the fact that we spontaneously added an additional loop, with the thought, there are still some additional francs for this great aid project Swiss Hope Sherpa of Jeannine Maillard and Pasang Rinji Sherpa together.

All our sponsors will receive an Arven sun made by us as a small thank you.

DHANJABAT - Barbara and Thomas

Also from our side a big thank you to Barbara and Thomas.
