Und schon ist es wieder Mai. Wenn ich aus dem Fenster schaue, sehe ich Regen. Was gut für unsere Natur ist. :)
In Nepal beginnt bald die Regensaison, der Monsun. Für uns war es wichtig vor dem Monsun Material für die Schulhausrenovation nach Chheskam zu senden, bevor die Regensaison startet. Dank ein paar grosszügigen Spenden, ist dies nun möglich. :) Wir haben zwar noch nicht den Endbestand von CHF 20'000.-, doch haben wir uns entschieden mit dem Geld das wir schon haben, anzufangen. Und zwar werden wir eine Teilrenovation machen. Es sind insgesamt vier Schulhäuser, die zu renovieren sind. Zwei davon können wir bereits jetzt renovieren, sodass die Kinder in diesen dann renovierten Schulhäusern unterrichtet werden können. Sobald wir dann die restlichen CHF 10'000.- haben, renovieren wir dann die anderen beiden Schulhäuser. Pasang ist zur Zeit in Kathmandu und kümmert sich um den Einkauf. Unsere Leute in Chheskam sind ebenfalls froh, eine Beschäftigung während dem Monsun zu haben.
Die Kami-Kast möchte ihre heilige Stupa renovieren. Hierfür suchen wir noch einen Sponsor.
Die Frauengemeinschaft in Chheskam wünscht sich eine Hirse-Maschine. Die Verarbeitung von Hirse wäre so einfacher und müsste nicht von Hand gemacht werden. Hier suchen wir auch noch einen Sponsor.
Manjita Kulung ist 16 Jahre alt und kommt aus Chheskam. Sie möchte gerne weiter studieren, doch die Mutter hat nicht genug Geld. Der Vater ist schon lange verstorben. Manjita möchte entweder Krankenschwester oder Lehrerin werden. Mit CHF 500.- im Jahr hilfst du ihr den Traum zu verwirklichen. Mindestens fünf Jahre müsstest du dich verpflichten.
Im Oktober/November reise ich wieder nach Nepal. In einem 33-tägigem Trekking geht es zum Makalu-Basis-Lager. Auf diesem Trekking werden wir nicht vielen Menschen begegnen, diese Strecke ist noch nicht lange offen. Es hat im Oktober keine Bergsteiger im Lager. Diese Trekkingroute gilt als Geheimtipp, noch nicht viele Menschen laufen diese Strecke, die Natur soll atemberaubend sein. Ich freue mich auf Anmeldungen.

And it's already May again. When I look out of the window, I see rain. Which is good for our nature. :)
In Nepal, the rainy season, the monsoon, is about to begin. It was important for us to send materials for the school building renovation to Chheskam before the monsoon, before the rainy season
starts. Thanks to a few generous donations, this is now possible. :) Although we do not yet have the final balance of CHF 20,000, we have decided to start with the money we already have. We are
going to do a partial renovation. There are a total of four school buildings to be renovated. We can already renovate two of them now so that the children can be taught in these renovated school
buildings. As soon as we have the remaining CHF 10,000, we will then renovate the other two school buildings. Pasang is currently in Kathmandu and is taking care of the shopping. Our people in
Chheskam are also happy to have something to do during the monsoon.
The Kami Kast would like to renovate their sacred stupa. We are still looking for a sponsor for this.
The women's community in Chheskam would like a millet machine. This would make the processing of millet easier and would not have to be done by hand. We are also looking for a sponsor for
this.
Manjita Kulung is 16 years old and comes from Chheskam. She would like to continue her studies, but her mother does not have enough money. Her father died a long time ago. Manjita would like to
become either a nurse or a teacher. With CHF 500 a year you help her to realise her dream. You would have to commit yourself for at least five years.
I am travelling to Nepal again in October/November. I'm going on a 33-day trek to the Makalu base camp. We won't meet many people on this trek, as this route has not been open for long. There are
no climbers in the camp in October. This trekking route is considered an insider tip, not many people have walked this route yet, the nature is said to be breathtaking. I look forward to
receiving registrations.
