Übermorgen geht es los. Nach langer Zeit reise ich wieder einmal im Frühling nach Nepal. Ich freue mich auf die Blumenpracht und den Schnee. Glücklicherweise reise ich über Istanbul, und muss mir wegen Nah Ost keine Sorgen machen. Oder doch ein bisschen, denn wir umfliegen das Krisengebiet südlich. Ich habe keine Angst, doch bin ich mir der Gefahr bewusst. Und wieder einmal bin ich überglücklich in der Schweiz geboren worden zu sein.
Pasang ist mittlerweile gut in Nepal angekommen. Zur Zeit ist er noch in Kathmandu, und halt alles für mein Trekking organisiert. Wir werden dann zusammen nach Lukla fliegen. Auch dies bin ich schon lange nicht mehr. Immer nur abgeflogen. Bin gespannt und freue mich auf diesen Nervenkitzel. Dann nach Lukla wandere ich als erstes nach Namche, dann weiter nach Thame und von dort immer westwärts. Alles neue Regionen, bis zur Manaslu-Umrundnung wo dann auch Claudio und ein paar Freunde dazustossen werden. Und genau dort hat vor 10 Jahren alles begonnen. Pasang war unser Guide, und die Idee unserer Hilfsorganisation hat dort den Anfang gemacht. Wir sprachen über das Land die Menschen, und ich habe mich entschlossen zu helfen. Ich freue mich sehr, nach 10 Jahren dieses wunderschöne Gebiet wieder zu durchlaufen. Ich bin sehr gespannt, wie sich alles verändert hat.
Nach der Rückkehr vom Manaslu reist Pasang nach Chheskam. Die Kami-Stupa wird gebaut, sowie auch der Spielplatz. Wenn es zeitlich langt, besucht Pasang Boxwua unser nächstes Dorf, wo wir hoffentlich bald eine Wasserversorgung bauen können. :) Noch sind wir auf Spenden angewiesen.

It all kicks off the day after tomorrow. After a long time, I’m off to Nepal again in the spring. I’m looking forward to the beautiful flowers and the snow. Fortunately, I’m travelling via Istanbul, so I don’t need to worry about the Middle East. Or perhaps just a little, as we’re flying south of the conflict zone. I’m not afraid, but I am aware of the danger. And once again, I’m overjoyed to have been born in Switzerland.
Pasang has now arrived safely in Nepal. He’s currently still in Kathmandu, sorting out all the arrangements for my trek. We’ll then fly to Lukla together. It’s been a long time since I’ve been there myself. I’ve only ever flown in. I’m excited and looking forward to the thrill of it. From Lukla, I’ll first hike to Namche, then on to Thame and from there head westwards. All new regions, right up to the Manaslu circuit, where Claudio and a few friends will be joining us. And that’s exactly where it all began 10 years ago. Pasang was our guide, and the idea for our aid organisation first took shape there. We talked about the country and the people, and I decided to help. I’m really looking forward to walking through this beautiful area again after 10 years. I’m very curious to see how everything has changed.
The stupa is being built, as is the playground. If there’s time, Pasang Boxwua will visit our next village, where we hope to build a water supply system soon. :) We’re still relying on donations.
