The family moved into the new house.

The new owners were also able to move into the second family house in Chheskam. The house was blessed with a big festival. The whole village was there with the family proudly moving into the house. Finally they have more space, finally they have a safe home.

We wish the family many happy hours in their new house.

Almost finished

During our visit to Chheskam in October with our project trip, we saw the first family house for the first time. We were very surprised and delighted to see how far they have come to building houses. There is not much left, then our 2nd family home is ready.

In our first house we were even allowed to stay overnight, as there is no lodge in Chheskam.

Construction work

Immediately after the monsoon, construction work on the new family home started. The wood was beaten, the stones worked. The workers want to finish 80% of the house, until our visit in October.

We are very excited and look forward to the soon-to-come visit. Here are a few impressions.

A new house

Thanks to a private speder, we have the opportunity to build a second home for a poor family.

After a long search, we found a suitable family. They can not stay in the "house" where they live now. The family is growing and they have no place. Also, the dwelling is very bad when it rains. It drips everywhere through the simple ceiling.
The family can not build a house for financial reasons. The little merit of the father, who works as a carrier, is not enough.

We are very happy to be able to help this family

Ready soon...

With great pleasure we can tell you that our first house in Chhescam will be finished soon. A few more details, then the happy family can move in.

We thank all involved for the wonderful work.

And as soon as this house is finished, we will be able to start with a new house construction. :)

Housebuilding at Chheskam

Unfortunately, it is still the case in Nepal that many families have to live in very bad houses or bad accommodations. The government should have taken care of this matter a long time ago. Unfortunately, it does not happen. Swiss Hope Sherpa has decided to take care of it. We started with the first house construction. Again, we have all material purchased locally. Also, the processing will happen on site. Some residents of Chheskam have a job for a short time. Soon the family will be able to move into their house.
